Arbor Day Tree Planting Honoring Harrison Freer

The Town of Queensbury hosted an Arbor Day tree planting on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Town Hall (742 Bay Road). A white oak was planted in memory of Harrison Freer to celebrate Harrison’s life and years of service to the community. Harrison was on the Adirondack Cycling Advocates board. A Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District spokesperson discussed the importance of trees, urban forestry, and emphasized the critical role trees play in climate mitigation and the overall health of a community. “A city that takes care of its trees takes care of its people”.
