Economic Upside of Bicycling Infrastructure Forum Was a Success

Adirondack Cycling Advocates hosted a forum at the Queensbury Hotel on November 7, 2024, to increase community awareness of the importance of investing in infrastructure that will attract people, businesses, and tourists to our area to ensure our future economic stability. Michael King (TrafficCalmer) moderated the three guest speakers-  Jim Siplon from Warren County EDC (link), Heather Bagshaw from Warren County Tourism (link), and Robyn Haberman from AARP NY (link) – who gave informative presentations on our area’s economy, the tourism industry, and how to provide age-friendly infrastructure. They emphasized the advantages a quality bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure would bring to this area. Approximately 50 attendees included local business owners, city and county officials, cycling advocates, and Adirondack/Glens Falls Transportation Council representatives. If you missed it, don’t worry – you can access a recording of the forum here:  link!
