Ride On! 2024-25 Issue Out Now

Dave Matthews, publisher of the bi-annual Ride On!  mountain bike trail guide, announces the release of the 2024-25 issue.  This comprehensive guide covers 13 trail systems in Warren and Saratoga counties, with maps featuring 137 trails for all levels of mountain bikers.  The new issue is now available in all bicycle shops in Warren and Saratoga counties and selected retail sports locations from Lake Placid to Utica and Hudson, New York.  The 2024-25 issue also features stories on the upcoming UCI mountain bike world cup series coming to Lake Placid from September 27-29, 2024, at the Mount Van Hoevenburg Recreation Center.  Over 150 pro-elite racers are expected, as well as up to 8,000 spectators for the 3-day event. Also of interest are a proposed new mountain bike skills park to be built in Saratoga Springs, as well as efforts by the Shredders non-profit organization to promote “bikes in schools” as a way for youngsters to learn to ride a bike to be made part of each school’s curriculum.  Another article features a heartfelt story about the start of a new MTB parts manufacturing business in Clifton Park, the result of a tragic racing car accident that left the driver considering a new direction in life.   Rick’s Outpost at Gurney Lane Mountain Bike Park is also highlighted, the first effort in the region to offer gravel, leisure, and mountain bike rentals for locals and visitors alike.  Certified bicycle mechanic training classes offered at SUNY Adirondack are now offered as a result of an effort by Kyle Esposito and his MasterLink training program.  Finally, for complete information on trails in Saratoga County, check out the new Saratoga Trails Alliance website, saratogatrails.org.

Besides the 56-page printed trail guide, an electronic flipbook version is available at RideOnADK.com.
