Successful 2024 Annual Meeting

2024 ACA Annual Meeting, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Bogey’s Pub & Grill

The ACA Board, the members, and cycling friends met at Bogey’s Pub & Grill for the Annual Meeting and buffet dinner. The business meeting included updates on the financial status of ACA, work on ongoing projects, organizing community meetings, and participation in and organizing events. Board members’ terms of office were renewed, and retiring board members were honored. After the buffet, Bob Perry and Frank Cappabianca presented a slide show and description of their 5-day adventure cycling the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The presentation, aptly named “Four Old Farts and the Gap Ride,” or “How to Pedal Furiously and Go Nowhere,” was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.

Special Recognition for three directors ending their years of service on the ACA Board.

• Tony Krivitski was honored for 10 years of active service on the ACA Board of Directors. Tony was responsible for promoting bicycling, “spreading the word” through social media, and transporting the Kiosk to multiple events to meet and educate the public about the ACA and bicycling.
• The second honoree, Kathy Pfeiffer, actively promoted and connected ACA with other bicycling organizations for five years. Kathy was responsible for the success of the Harry Elkes Ride by organizing details, signing up volunteers, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for cyclists.
• Harrison Freer was honored posthumously for his eleven years of active service on the ACA Board. Harrison acted as the voice of the ACA to communicate with government and transportation officials to improve roads and shoulders of roads for bicyclists. He helped to fund the expansion of off-road networks and participated actively at public events with the kiosk to promote ACA and bicycling in Warren County.

ACA Chair Barbara Joudry ended the meeting by thanking everyone for supporting ACA and ACA’s mission to develop a quality cycling infrastructure in this region.
