TO CONNECT COMMUNITIES
WCAX Channel 3 (Burlington, NY) 11/30/20
Vermont is getting 10 new miles of mountain biking trails, which will connect communities and bring money to rural areas. The Velomont Trail will feature 10 miles of mountain biking trails for intermediate riders, utilizing new and existing skiing and hiking trails. The trail connects the town of Rochester to the town of Pittsfield.

For more on the local level, one of our Board members attended an interesting webinar this morning on the economic impact of mountain biking in Vermont. Take a look at the powerpoint. The growth in the sport is amazing and dollars spent by visitors to these trails and their town hubs is amazing. Some good statistics here in support of our goal to make the Lake George Region and southern Adirondacks a regional trail network attractive to visitors froom hours away.
